I like the way cosmos reseed themselves -- in the same season -- so that you have new plants right about the time the old plants need to be retired. Gorgeous photos, RedHouse.
I had one area that grew as we watered a new shrub nearby...I need to be more strategic about where I plant them as I love everything about this flower and its foliage...gorgeous.
My yellow cosmos have been blooming all summer, but the pink ones have only now started blooming (possibly due to putting all their energy into growing so tall!) I am loving the pink ones - I hope they last for awhile before we get a freeze!
Indie, I love cosmos too, not only insects! I have cosmos in my garden and still are blooming despite of cold weather. Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteI like them too! Any plant that attracts a whole array of wildlife is a keeper in my book! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteYou really got a lot of critters on the cosmos. Mine never really did that well. Pretty photos too.
ReplyDeleteLovely images! I'm a big fan of cosmos, too. The funny thing is I never had any in my garden until a few years ago; now I wouldn't be without them!
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! I just picked my last ones today before the hard freeze coming up on Saturday. Lovely blooms and foliage!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs, beautiful nature. I am greeting

ReplyDeleteI like your orange and yellow cosmos. I planted some pink ones from seed for the first time this year. They're hard not to love!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to India!
